Help Dunlap pack a trailer for victims of Hurricane Harvey!
Dunlap High School has committed to helping Garfield Elementary in Houston, Texas. Garfield Elementary school serves almost 800 students and employs over 60 staff members. Many of those students and staff members have suffered significant loss due to Hurricane Harvey. We are making plans to give assistance directly to them with our “Pack the Trailer” campaign. Dunlap High School plans to load our 52’ Marching Band Trailer full of supplies and transport them directly to the Garfield families. We would love to have your support and donations!
We will be taking donations here at Dunlap High School on Monday, September 4th from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM, September 5th 7:00 AM- 5:00 PM, and September 6th from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. We will depart for Houston soon after the doors of the trailer close!
Garfield Elementary is specifically seeking the following items:
New Underwear – from diapers to adult sizes
New Socks – kids and adults
Toiletries – Soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, feminine products, deodorant
Monetary donations for – groceries, building supplies, backpacks, etc.
**Garfield Principal, Courtney Merilatt indicated that the local donations of other clothing has been overwhelming, so those items are not needed
