Skittles scattered across highway were not headed to store shelves
Kind of an interesting headline, huh? Well the occurrence itself is pretty uhm… interesting. After furthur investigation, it was later found that these candies were rejects from the candy factory and now en route to be mixed with feed for cattle. That’s right; Skittles are being used to feed cattle. University of Tennessee animal science professor, John Waller, says this practice has been happening for longer than you’d expect. Materials in the candies, he claims, actually provide nutrients to the cattle that they would otherwise not get unless eating corn. For the full article, click HERE!
